Family Dollar Stores, Inc. today announced the opening of its 6,000th store, located in Joliet, IL. The company operates a massive  850,000 square-foot distribution center in West Memphis (pictured) that supports approximately 700 stores in 10 states including Arkansas, western Tennessee, western Kentucky, southwestern Indiana, southern Illinois, eastern Missouri, eastern Louisiana, northern Alabama, western Mississippi and the northern tip of Georgia.
